Before you run out and buy that condo consider taking some time to make sure you're not making a mistake. Here's a tip for you to think about.

Something you will wish to see is the Declaration of Covenanats and Restrictions. Sometimes this is called the CC&R. The CC&R basically contains the rules governing the complex so you'll want to spend some time learning what you can and what you can't do.

For example, some CC&R's don't allow pets. If you have a dog, a cat or other pet you'll have a big problem. It would be a good idea to learn that before you have earnest money down on the condo.

The CC&R also lays out the parking rules. If you're buying an expensive condo you sure don't want to learn that because your unit was one of the last one's to sell your parking place is a quarter mile away. That will be fun on rainy, windy day.

The point is this. Find out this kind of thing before you buy.
